Estimating Services UK Ltd has been set up to assist your
company with its estimating function, without doubt one of the most
important departments in any company.
We all know how important the need is to service both current and
prospective Clients, and how frustrating it can be when the
estimating department is stretched to capacity, yet as a company
you still need to continue to price as many competitive tenders as
possible, whilst at the same time maintaining harmony amongst
your estimating team.
Our Aim
Our aim is to provide you with a service that you will find both
professional and yet personal, complimenting your own estimating
team, and as we have found with other Contractors that we
currently work for, we are treated very much a part of the company.

We are proud of the service we provide, we work very closely with
your own pre-contract team, keeping them informed every step of
the tendering process, and utilising your teams expertise with our
estimating skills to produce the best bid possible.

A Typical Tender Scenario
On receipt of a call for assistance, we will talk through the proposed
tender with you, taking down important bid information that will
enable us to make a decision if we will be able to complete the
tender within the time frame, and more importantly that we will be
able to give the tender the resource input that it needs.
Once we have agreed between us that we are to proceed, you will
forward a complete copy set of the documents to us, together with
contact details within your company of the team members that will
be responsible for any supporting information that may be required
to be returned with the bid.
On receipt of the documents we will strip out relevant trade
packages etc, and email back to you so that your estimating
support staff can collate the sub-contract packages and forward
them to them for pricing, we can put forward names for inclusion on
the relevant sub-contract packages, but we would also expect that
companies from your own database be used, as we have found in
the past that new companies introduced do not always return prices
to companies that they do not know, and we want to achieve as
high a return rate as possible.
Depending on the type of tender, i.e. drawings and specification or
BOQ, we will produce a take off for the project sufficient enough to
enable quotes to be obtained for the works (see attached samples
for example).
Where possible we would obtain electronic copies of the pricing
schedules, daywork and provisional sum sections, so that we can
price the estimate on our bespoke estimating package, which
greatly improves our efficiency and also allows adjudication
decisions to be incorporated generally at the touch of a button.
We will undertake a full site visit, informing you of date and time, so
you can attend if required. On site we will make notes of all relevant
site information, together with photographic backup.
We will keep in touch on a daily basis with your support staff, so
that we can be kept informed of any quotes received, and
depending on time scale they can either be posted to us or emailed
in PDF format.
On completion of the bid we will attend your office for adjudication,
and give a full overview of the project and present a full analysis of
the build up of the estimate for your review.
On completion of the adjudication produce a revised schedule of
works or BOQ for submission.
Post tender we can attend any client interviews and hopefully if
successful produce a full hand over package for your contracts
team
